GOOD FRIDAY

Today I heard it said several times that this day is the most sacred day of the Christian calendar and as I shared with family and friends in worship truly the lovely presence of the Lord was very real.
Good Friday to me is a time when I have actually been able to remind myself of the great price that was paid for my sin by Jesus at Calvary, but then as I think about it, would it not be correct to say that He also had to go through some serious thinking at Gethsemane?
The old chorus is a very wonderful guide it says this; 'Lest I forget Gethsemane, lest I forget thine agony, lest I forget thy love for me, lead me to Calvary.'
I challenge myself by asking if I happen to be in company with the disciples in Gethsemene , would I like them fall asleep making the excuse the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak?
And what about at Calvary, where would I actually be, would I like some try to find a place to hide or would I be bold enough to be up front to be counted?
Well today as once again I was challenged I confess that I want to be strong in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and witness that I am a follower of Christ.
Because He has paid the price at Calvary, my sins are under the Blood and I can be counted with Him as one who is not afraid to confess Jesus as my Lord, my Saviour and my King.
What about you? Will you join me in also standing up for Jesus as a soldier of the Cross, let me invite you to do just that and in doing so may God bless you today!

"When the centurian saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying,"Certainly this was a righteous man." Luke 23: 47.
