FRIENDSHIPS

Greetings to you each in the name of our Risen Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ!
During our time of visiting the Healesville area yesterday, we met some old friends, that is to say folk we know and have not seen for a short time, it was great to catch up and to hear how things are going for them and to share our journey with them.
Friendship is a truly wonderful thing and it is to be valued indeed. Friends are those people who remain close to us and are very special in our thoughts and feelings.
Friends are people who when you met after a time it seems as if you only said goodbye yesterday!
My wife and I used to say,"a true friend is one who knows all about you and loves you just the same!"
I think that describes my friendship with Jesus, what do you think?
One of the lovely occasions with Jesus and the disciples was when he was meeting with them and he shared his inner feelings with them, read it in the account given by St John in chapter 15.
The lovely old song says it well for me;
A friend when other friendships cease, a friend when others fail; a friend who gives me joy and peace, a friend who will prevail.
