THE NEW SONG

Geetings to you today!

As I walked out of my front door this morning I was greeted with the wonderful sounds of several magpies who were singing their morning song of Praise, (at least that what I call it!)

In fact every morning this is what I hear from them, it is a very interesting sound and believe it or not I have learnt the call from the "guard bird" to others. Especially when we put out some food the call goes out that the food is now available, and the birds swoop down for their fill.

I have been reading the Psalms in regard to new songs and it is very interesting to see the progression. Follow with me if you will just for this moment!

Psalm 33: 3, we are instructed; " to sing a new song and play skillfully with a shout of joy!" We need to be a singing people active with the skills we have in our own lives, use them or lose them.

Psalm 40: 3. Here we are shown how blessed we are, "The Lord in His activity in our lives puts a new song in our mouths" God always gives us a freshness in His presence and as we are reminded by a nother writer, 'New every morning is His love, faithfulness and grace!'

Then I see a people of promise ansd covenant, Psalm 144:9, We promise to sing a new song unto the Lord, and have a wonderful experience in this very beautiful gift.

So I am grateful for the Magies, the precious Word of God and the song that is ever new.

This reminds me of words I used to sing at Church;" We'll sing in the morning, the songs of Salvation, We'll sing in the nnontide the song sof His love, and when we arrive at the end of our journey, We'll sing ther songs of Zion in the courts above." (Salvation Army Song Book Chorus 222)

"They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the son of the Lamb." Revelation 15: 3(a)

God Bless you have a great day as you sing to the Lord in all your service!
